Saturday December 7th 2024 The Hamilton Marines played host to Elkhart Christian Academy in triple header fashion on Friday night in front of a great crowd and even Santa Claus! The Lady Marines fought hard but played a very tough and talented Elkhart Christian team by a score of 17-59. TeigAnn Freed was tied for the leading scorer for Hamilton with 5 points including 3 free throws, Tristen Creager also scored 5 points all coming in the third quarter. Marissa Mercer added 4 and Bella Rivera scored 3. In the boys varsity game a slow start gave Elkhart Christian the lead and never looked back, 32-59. The Marines did have a great third quarter showing winning that period 15-10 but it was just a little too late. Clayton Spaw was the leading scorer and had 7 points all coming in the 3 quarter. The boys JV team also fell to Elkhart Christian despite Coach Scott Ailes inspiring sport coat. All three teams will be back in action this afternoon with a triple header at Lakeland Christian Academy starting with girls varsity (1-4) at 1:00pm followed by boys JV (0-2) and then boys varsity (0-2).
