Hamilton Community Schools

October 2nd 2025 Hamilton Community Schools hosted Canterbury School on Wednesday evening in a conference volleyball matchup, but the night was about much more than just the game. Prior to first serve, Hamilton proudly recognized six senior athletes for their commitment and dedication to Hamilton athletics. Seniors honored included Larsen Dilts, Haley Ellert, Tristen Creager, TeigAnn Freed, Emalynn Kline, and Marissa Mercer. Each senior was escorted by family and recognized for their athletic achievements, future plans, and lasting memories made at HCS. Following the ceremony, the Marines took the floor against a strong Canterbury squad. The visitors controlled the tempo early and came away with a 3–0 victory by scores of 25–5, 25–17, 25–11. For Hamilton, Tristen Creager tallied 1 kill, Lydia and Gianna each recorded an ace, Akira had 2 solo blocks at the net, and Marissa Mercer led the back row with 3 digs. The Marines will be back in action Friday night for their final home contest of the season, hosting Bethany Christian in an HPC matchup beginning at 6:00 p.m. Prior to the game at 5:40 p.m., Hamilton will recognize its youth volleyball players in grades 3–8. Following the varsity match, players will be signing autographs for fans of all ages.
